dant Posted March 17, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 17, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I had heard lots of complaints about the MM battery. After buying 2 MM's and a M240 I'd say the complaints should be directed to the M240 battery and not the MM battery. The huge size and huge cost M240 battery seems to die very fast. And considering the size of it I was expecting much longer life.
Advertisement Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Hi dant, Take a look here MM battery complaints. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
250swb Posted March 17, 2014 Share #2 Posted March 17, 2014 Complaints about the MM battery? It's the same as the M8 and M9 so it is a well known and understood product, and you get a reasonable number of pictures from it. Steve
jaapv Posted March 17, 2014 Share #3 Posted March 17, 2014 :confused:My M batteries run well over 1000-1500 exposures, as opposed to M8/M9/MM batteries that run about 400 shots - just take a few extra,.

pico Posted March 22, 2014 Share #6 Posted March 22, 2014 As mentioned here many times, there are a lot of fake batteries out there. They all suck. Do you know the easiest way to ID them? Seascribe Posted March 23, 2014 Share #7 Posted March 23, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just curious about the battery supplied with my new MM. It has Russian Cyrillic script, which when translated into English, reads "Made in The People's Republic of China." Can anyone bring clarity to this mystery? Chuck Albertson Posted March 23, 2014 Share #8 Posted March 23, 2014 Just curious about the battery supplied with my new MM. It has Russian Cyrillic script, which when translated into English, reads "Made in The People's Republic of China." Can anyone bring clarity to this mystery? Production overrun of batts destined for the Russian market? (All of my MM batts are so marked.)
2wk Posted March 23, 2014 Share #9 Posted March 23, 2014 The MM is my first digital M and so far I have been very very pleased with the battery life.
swamiji Posted March 23, 2014 Share #10 Posted March 23, 2014 I have three generations of batteries. The oldest are all black, and I purchased them with my M8. The next has white writing, but no Russian. These I purchased when the M9 first came out. The last group of batteries has Russian writing. These were purchased late in the M9 life cycle, which is also the same as what was included with my MM. They all work well, even the oldest still gives me at least 200 shots per charge. In use it's hard to tell the difference, except the charger that came with the MM seems to know the difference. The lights flash in strange ways, when charging M8 batteries. However the M9 charger works with all my batteries. I am still surprised that 6 year old batteries work as well as they do, and can say I have never had a failed battery.
