A miller Posted February 13, 2014 Share #1 Posted February 13, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I had a few minutes after a meeting in Midtown yesterday and popped into the Ferrari dealership on Park Avenue and obtained permission to shoot the three models they had on display with my Monochrom (and 50mm summilux aspherical). I was thinking of printing one on baryta paper (for myself) to test out the tonality of the Monochrom. I forgot to remove the medium yellow filter on my lens; luckily the cars on display were light gray, dark gray, and dark blue, so the filter shouldn't have been a concern except to darken the blue car. I'd love to hear which one (and only one) of these you'd pick to print. "None" is completely fair game so feel free to indicate that as well. I'm no car buff so I can't tell you the model names of these fine works of art. But given how many months and years the designers and engineers at Ferrari spend creating all of the precise lines and details of these cars, I do have a deep appreciation for the remarkable aesthetics that they render. Enjoy and thanks very much for looking and your feedback!! Best, Adam Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Hi A miller, Take a look here 3 New Ferraris and a Monochrom. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Berth Posted February 13, 2014 Share #2 Posted February 13, 2014 I have no saliva left after drooling over your wonderful images of those fantastic machines. Sadly, I don't think I'm agile enough at the moment to be able to extract myself from any of them once I had fitted myself onto their driving positions. There are worse ways I suppose for spending the end of my days strapped to one of their seats. All that's needed are sound directions to fine dining, drinking, and sleeping establishments on roads commanding the attention of the driving abilities of these super machines. Thank you for bringing the dream.
A miller Posted February 13, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted February 13, 2014 Very funny, Berth. Many thanks for your kind remarks. As for me, my Monochrom has left me with no remaining money to purchase one of these Ferraris.

stuny Posted February 13, 2014 Share #5 Posted February 13, 2014 Adam - These are all gorgeous detail shots and next time I'm there I too will ask to shoot -- Until recently they did not permit photos inside so I had to rely on shots through the windows. I'll do that before long. My favorites are #1 and #2, which are both on the V12 powered model F12 which costs 30 some odd times what you shot it with. Remember my office is in MetLife the next time you're in Midtown East with time to spare.
A miller Posted February 13, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted February 13, 2014 Many thanks, Paul and Stuart. Stuart - I can't believe that you can make out these models! Very impressive! It was a spur of the moment thing but to the extent it is more planned I will surely look you up.
