I can sell you a special à la carte baseplate without the sticker...;)

Good to hear :p

So there is à la carte version.

I wonder why isn't the CE only in product documentation?

It's like spam, how can they even pollut spam on products.

Ooo plz send me that à la carte baseplate and post the pill to CE folks :D

The CE marking or formerly EC mark, is a mandatory conformity marking for certain products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA) since 1985.[1] The CE marking is found even on products sold outside the EEA, because they are either products manufactured in the EEA and have been exported, or they were manufactured in other nations which have EEA as a prime market. This makes the CE marking recognizable worldwide even to people who are not familiar with the European Economic Area. It is similar then, in that sense, to the FCC Declaration of Conformity used on certain electronic devices sold in the United States.

Wouldn't it be better to print the CE to another side of the bottom plate?

So it would be inside.

Now there is 2 external symbols. The sexy Leica red dot and the ugly CE.

It's like my old refrigerator with x-men stickers from when i was kid.

Though haven't seen the CE symbol on all EU made products.

Perhaps it's not a mandatory.

I guess the same fascination applies with the plastic that covers a new sofa, should you take it off, or should you keep it on?

One school of thought is 'I can't be bothered to take it off, and it will stop stains' , the other may be 'I love it and want to keep it forever and want to take the plastic off and see my sofa in all its beauty'.

But that's just kidding, seriously, the European Union will take you to Court if it is removed, and if it comes off accidentally you need to apply for a new one, with the certificate.
