Paul J Posted January 13, 2014 Share #21 Posted January 13, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) ooohhhh I have to say I have a bit of an obsession about Pelican cases. Everything I own has one. They are the best way I know to keep your gear protected and pristine from bangs, air, dust moisture etc. I have a mix of the foam ones for minimal things but also the ones with padded dividers, which I find great and much more friendly with Silica Gel. Check out the ones from Case Cruzer as well, which is also owned by Pelican Case I believe. My favourite is my iWork case which is a modified Pelican case with a tripod mount fitted for location tethered work and a foam insert for a hypermac battery. Gibbo Posted January 13, 2014 Share #22 Posted January 13, 2014 Is it possible to buy the inserts only for these cases? I was given an empty case and have had no luck finding just inserts for sale.

Paul J Posted January 13, 2014 Share #26 Posted January 13, 2014 Baby wipes contain Lanolin, which will make the camera a bit greasy. Yes you are right I use a tissue after too.
Photoskeptic Posted January 13, 2014 Share #27 Posted January 13, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I live at the beach. We have sea spray that rolls in like fog especially in the winter. I've never taken any particular precautions (and have never had any problems) - just wipe everything down after a shooting safari. Leica's are particularly tough in my experience .
