Clandrel Posted January 9, 2014 Share #1 Posted January 9, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, Just put my battery in a new M 240. Something strange happens when I view Live View. See the attached pictures. In certain light the screen if full of thick black stripes. The pictures show one without the stripes and one with. I only tilted the camera, then the black stripes appear.Does it have something to do with the metering? When I point the camera and meter (pushing the shutter button half way) I can see the stripes, only vagely. But in certain light the stripes go all black. What is this? /c Welcome, dear visitor! jaapv Posted January 9, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 9, 2014 It could be a stroboscopic effect caused by the ambient light phasing with the LCD readout, but on the other hand the LCD is - just an LCD. And those things can go wrong. Mine developed concentric purple circles.
Clandrel Posted January 9, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted January 9, 2014 Actually, I think I have the answer. The lights in my kitchen are LED, and I turned them all the way up. The LED lights are causing this effect. When I turned the lights off, everything was normal. A bit strange though...

farnz Posted January 10, 2014 Share #5 Posted January 10, 2014 Sounds like you need to send your kitchen LEDs and M240 back to Solms for calibration. Pete.
