Guest polygamer Posted January 11, 2014 Share #81 Posted January 11, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) ... annoyingly, it shows vignetting (here, upper left corner) now and then, even at f8. This is a pity. I like this lens very much, because together with the Tele-Elmarit-M 2,8/90 it belonged to my "starter-kit" for the M6 in 1988 ... Welcome, dear visitor! k-hawinkler Posted January 11, 2014 Author Share #82 Posted January 11, 2014 Thanks, have you tried to correct it with LCC? That should work as long as there is no corner smearing. It's best to shoot an LCC image together with the shot. Spared out corners in a hood need to be taped up, I use black electrician's tape for that. Good luck. I expect perfect JPEGs ooc. So, for me, it is easier, to take my Summarit 2,5/35 for the A7, and leave my dear Summicron 2/35 V4 at home ...
k-hawinkler Posted January 11, 2014 Author Share #84 Posted January 11, 2014 Well, after having seen by how much even the images of some Leica lenses on an M240 can be improved (for example in the raw files posted by Bob) I don't mind using LCC for images that I care about and which benefit from it. graeme_clarke Posted January 17, 2014 Share #96 Posted January 17, 2014 Knock Pike, North Pennines, Cumbria, UK The North Pennines are a ridge of limestone rocks that run north-south and form the "backbone" of northern England. To the west are the ancient volcanic rocks of the hills of the English lake district. The whole area was heavily glaciated during the last ice age. This image, taken from the slopes of Cross Fell, the highest of the Pennines, looks west over the Eden valley to the lake district hills with snow on them in the distance. Knock Pike, the hill in the foreground is a hard rock volcanic inlier, one of several in a row about a mile west of the softer Pennines that the glaciers left as conical hills when they melted. Taken 11 January 2014 late afternoon at 15:39. A7R. 28-90mm at 28mm, 1/60s, f8, iso 250. A small strip of featureless sky cropped off the top. Welcome, dear visitor! Guest polygamer Posted January 19, 2014 Share #97 Posted January 19, 2014 Hi, "Mermaid and Friend", taken in the Art Noveau Area in Mannheim/Germany. (SONY A7, Leica Summicron 2/50 ( I went there to take pictures for comparing the ZEISS Distagon 4/18 on the M9 and on the A7. However with the M9 I took pictures in November last year, on a gray day. Today with the A7, it was a little sunny. So no real comparison is possible.)) Welcome, dear visitor!
