pauledell Posted December 29, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted December 29, 2013 Welcome to the forum. A wonderful picture with the composition (the newspaper adds a bit of thought to it. Perhaps she is looking for the next performance). Great tones and sharpness. Â Paul

Robclarke Posted December 30, 2013 Author Share #8 Â Posted December 30, 2013 Rob - A lovley shot and a lovely subject. However' date=' it feels a bit oversharpened.[/quote']Â That is interesting. I know very little about sharpening so I would have only used default settings when making minor adjustments in Lightroom, the film having been developed and scanned by a lab. What makes it look over sharpened and how can I avoid it ?
stuny Posted December 31, 2013 Share #9 Â Posted December 31, 2013 The edges on her, her stool and the cobble stones beneath her appear artificially sharp. I suppose I could be wrong and am reacting to a trick of light.
earleygallery Posted December 31, 2013 Share #10 Â Posted December 31, 2013 Nice shot but I agree with Stuart that it looks over-sharpened. Â If the film was scanned by the lab and you have then run the same file through 'default settings' it has probably had two lots of sharpening applied to it.
