stevelap Posted April 24, 2014 Share #741 Posted April 24, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) In the other threads I see that the negativity has already started from the usual suspects...... Oh well, I'm still looking forward to the official announcement and will make my own decisions once I've seen the full specs and had the chance to try the camera for myself. colonel Posted April 24, 2014 Share #743 Posted April 24, 2014 Interesting article in AP this week, taking the Nikon Df head to head with the Fuji X-T1. Little to no effective difference in output. Sent from another Galaxy Mustn't believe all you read The Fuji sensor has detail smearing, after starting from less detail in the first place and has significantly less colour depth and dynamic range then the Df sensor. I gave up with the X100s and X-E1 some time ago due to the so so results. The Df with a 35mm f1.8G FX or 50mm f1.8G or others of the excellent 1.8G series make a very lightweight combination. luigi bertolotti Posted April 26, 2014 Share #744 Posted April 26, 2014 CEO Alfred Schopf visited Australia recently and provided an interview to Paul Burrows, editor of 'Camera' magazine here.... ...All direct transcriptions from parts of answers by CEO: When asked will there ever be a Leica compact system camera: "We will have one, definitely. And it will, of course, be quite different to M system. We want to have autofocus with such a system and we may well have an APSC size sensor rather than a bigger one......." Getting back to Leica's plans for a CSC, Alfred states: "It will be a German built camera, however I'm not sure we can make all of the lenses made in Germany because we are talking about a different price range to M system so I could imagine that we do some fixed focal length lenses in Germany and maybe with the zooms we will co-operate with a partner" .... November 2013... now, T announced... Schoepf is a trustable manager...
