intermediatic Posted November 7, 2013 Share #4 Posted November 7, 2013 I had an Eye-Fi card in the M, thought it was great (well ok, I would need to constantly reset it to iPhone or to computer, but still, it was nice and fun) and then it just stopped working. pop Posted November 10, 2013 Share #5 Posted November 10, 2013 I have used a SanDisk Eye-Fi (8GB+WI-FI) to transfer the JPEGs from the M to the Android phone. Once it was properly set up, it did indeed send the files from the M to the Android. However, there was a considerable delay from the time the picture was taken until it was transmitted to the phone, the transfer was rather slow (given that each picture occupies several megabytes), after transmitting several pictures the transmissions stopped and I could only make them resume after restarting the phone and the card used a substantial amount of battery power. I used to use the same card in a Sony NEX 7 as well, where it stopped working altogether whenever the battery was used up by more than about half its capacity.Still, under the circumstances using the card was a bit more comfortable than fetching the camera after each shot and re-positioning it again. jpfisher Posted November 11, 2013 Share #6 Posted November 11, 2013 I've been pretty happy with the Eye-Fi Mobi card and the M. To speed transfers I shoot Raw+Small JPG. The JPGs transfer over and I can use them for quick online posts (family shots, travel), and then do "real work" on the images when I get home to Lightroom. The Mobi doesn't do as much as some of the other Eye-Fi cards, but it works without complicated setup. If you don't need to do anything aside from transferring JPGs, it's the one to get.
