Camera worked perfectly well, no problems with AF - maybe I´m lucky... Still in love with this baby! Who needs M240? Kidding.... wda Posted November 1, 2013 Share #2 Posted November 1, 2013 Excellent pictures DrPIX. Jpeg or Raw? Am intrigued by the novel street seating!

Guest DrPix Posted November 1, 2013 Share #4 Posted November 1, 2013 Thanks David! I shoot only DNG and develop in Lightroom. Do not particulary like X Vario Jpegs - too "sharp" and liveless. Need much more "work" afterwords than DNG. Obviously there´s some editing/postproduction involved (although NO manipulation, i.e. take away/introduce new objects/items, etc..). Why not? The camera delivers "fresh produce" and you "cook" the dish as you like it:) I have used the camera in almost half a year now - NEVER had any problems with AF. I use EFV-2 and handgripp.

On my calibrated Eizo the colours are not over the top I think. Anyway, I use DNG (not Jpegs) and develop in Lightroom.
Guytou Posted November 1, 2013 Share #6 Posted November 1, 2013 Your photographs are very interesting. But in comparison with others, it also seems to me that they have saturated enough colors. Guy
elgenper Posted November 1, 2013 Share #7 Posted November 1, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Nice pictures! But I´m afraid I have to chime in with Guy & al: the colors ARE a bit overcooked. I use Safari 6.1 (OS 10.8.5) on a 30" Apple Cinema Display which I calibrate regularly, and seems spot on, both with other websites and with my own pics in LR 5. michaelbrenner Posted November 1, 2013 Share #8 Posted November 1, 2013 I found the colors quite striking and bright, full of life. Thank you for sharing.
spylaw4 Posted November 1, 2013 Share #9 Posted November 1, 2013 The colours are indeed bright and striking, and for my taste perhaps a tad over-saturated, but certainly lively!
michaelbrenner Posted November 1, 2013 Share #10 Posted November 1, 2013 One of the great things about the X1, X2, and now the XV is that the DNG files are very malleable allowing a great deal of artistic latitude. Also, it means each shot does not have to be spot on with exposure or white balance as these also can be modified without wrecking the pictures. Leica and Lightroom seem to make a good pairing. Guest DrPix Posted November 2, 2013 Share #12 Posted November 2, 2013 Thank you everybody for the comments. I´ve re-checked my monitor´s calibration and, indeed, the colours were a bit overenthusiastic:) I´ve now upploaded new, corrected version, and hope the colours are more "acceptable" - although I must admit I like them "hot". elgenper Posted November 2, 2013 Share #13 Posted November 2, 2013 OK, seem to be a bit less "over" now, although I cannot do a direct comparison since the first version is gone now. But the important thing is that YOU like them and stand for them as an expression of what you feel. And, as you say, you like it hot… and, "lagom är inte alltid bäst" may be the final comment...
