stuny Posted October 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted October 25, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) At the Photo Expo yesterday the Leica rep showed me this set up of a special lens, outfitted for motorized control (note the cogs), and with a base plate designed to take all the weight of the cine lenses (Yes, there are several). All the cine lenses have teh cogs in the same place and with the same diameter so users can change lenses without haivng to readjust the external gears. They even had a slide out cover to get at the battery and SD card. That last would be something Leica should adapt for all digital Ms. Welcome, dear visitor! Here's a link from when they were introduced a couple years ago, including movie samples. robert_parker Posted November 10, 2013 Share #8 Posted November 10, 2013 Yikes - that's competition for the Noctilux....!! Agree totally about the slide out cover for battery and SD card - though actually I've got so used to it now in the English weather, despite the presence of the Leica protector, that I even take the bottom plate off the 'O' Serie film camera to get at the SD card....which can be a bit unfortunate
