Focus creep on Bellows II

I like my Elmar 90mm f4...using the whole lens on the visoflex III with a Nikon 4T dioptre achromat lens... is fabulous, about 1:2, and plenty of room to move and light input. Works well handheld in good light outdoors with ISO640. M8 body.

 

I love the lens head, on my bellows II as well.

 

Now the Question

When I tilt my rig to vertical the focus (bellows) slide...there is no locking as there is for the racking mechanism. The racking can be fixed, but the bellows fall open and do not keep focus, when the bellows are vertical.

Is there a work-around for this weirdness? It seems odd there is no lock to fix focus, on the bellows adjustment.

Can any one help with this conundrum? I am wanting to do some copy work and need to use the bellows vertically...I have the vert finder for the Visoflex III.

The focus can be tightened / blocked using the screw at the center of the focus knob : less elegant than the lever which blocks the rack but the same efficient.

I was hoping you'd be able to help. Yes, my focus screw was a little soft, and tightening has hugely inproved the performance; fixed in fact. It looks obvious when pointed out....
