zookcx Posted October 5, 2013 Share #1 Posted October 5, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi My friend has asked me to sell his white M8 for him with lens. I admit to having no knowledge of Leica (would love to be able to afford one!) Have been having lots of questions about serial numbers. My question is would it be safe (or even a good idea) to list his serial numbers? The item is listed on a well known auction site - Is it a ploy or scam to make a copy somehow?? - I may just be being very paranoid, but I don't want my friend to be ripped off. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Advertisement Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Hi zookcx, Take a look here Advice on selling white M8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
earleygallery Posted October 5, 2013 Share #2 Posted October 5, 2013 I don't see any reason not to disclose a serial number although I'm not sure what benefit it would be for anyone in this case. Unless potential buyers are asking to make sure you're not a scammer. Some people list it but 'x' the last few digits.
