hsujy Posted September 18, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 18, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Any one know how to use Leica 20cm f/4.5 Telyt telephoto lenses for Visoflex on Leica M? I'm looking for adaptors that can fit this lens on Leica M type 240, without using the visoflex system.

gyoung Posted September 18, 2013 Share #2 Posted September 18, 2013 I use my 200mm/4 Telyt on Nikons via a Visoflex to Nikon F adapter, you could add a Nikon to M adapter to that. There was also a Leica adapter tube to put the Telyts directly on to the screw mount bodies, which you colud use with an L39 to M adapter ring, it had a shoe mount on it for a wire frame type finder. (Wont fit the last type 280s though). Cant remember the code for it but a bit of research in the Wiki might find it, or ion due course one of our Visoflex experts will no doubt tell us Gerry
UliWer Posted September 18, 2013 Share #3 Posted September 18, 2013 Originally there was the TXBOO-Adapter: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-sammler-historica/97081-kaviar-10.html#post1542273 http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-collectors-historica/211981-txboo-numbering.html#post1902506 It should work with the M without problems - though you can't use the spezial viewfinder TUVOO as shown on the first photo, since the modern M-bodies are higher than the M3. Therefore you need the higher accessory-shoe shown in JC's photo. The TXBOO is rare - the higher accessory-shoe is extremely rare - , so you won't have much chance to find it on the second hand market. The new Novoflex adpater for Visoflex lenses (LEM/VIS https://www.novoflex.com/index.php) should work as well; if your lens has screwmount, you need a screw-mount to M-adapter on top.
