marknorton Posted August 25, 2013 Share #21 Posted August 25, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Are you sure you mean 0.1 mm not 1mm? The original dot is 10mm, the new one is 12mm, so painting the recess red and putting an old dot in its place would give a 1mm wide band. Your top cover does look all shiny and new... BerndReini Posted August 25, 2013 Share #24 Posted August 25, 2013 Whaaaaat? Where is that crazy chupacabra lizard skin covering that you had on it the other day? Jaap, if you had an M9 Titanium, I would give it six months max before you get bored with the original design and start customizing. Trust me, I get it. My problem is that I find so many special editions beautiful. I just saw a mint used M6TTL Millenium in black paint at my dealer for sale, and last week an M6 Titanium. My fingers were itching. I have come to terms with the fact that my black MP will never be surpassed in beauty by any digital camera, so that's my jewel, and I'll leave the other cameras alone. I do find though that the original MM is quite beautiful.

CaptZoom Posted August 25, 2013 Share #26 Posted August 25, 2013 I thoroughly dislike the blatant red dot on the M. But a plain black one looks a bit flat. So I painted one with a 0.1 mm red edge. Your craftsmanship is to be applauded- 0.1mm thick!?!. Good work man. It's nice to see people customizing their gear.

luigi bertolotti Posted August 27, 2013 Share #30 Posted August 27, 2013 Is it? Surprisingly FINE ! (Surprisingly, for I always disliked black bodies) ; red Leica writing is a bit borderline (saw many on "Fantasy Russian Black Barnacks" ) but fine too.
