photolandscape Posted August 6, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 6, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone seen the new M grip--part 14496? I am in the US and could use it if I could only find one.

johnbuckley Posted August 7, 2013 Share #3 Posted August 7, 2013 Not yet. We are all waiting. I believe that the list of accessories released by Leica to dealers had it down as an early August release. But no, not yet.
marknorton Posted August 7, 2013 Share #4 Posted August 7, 2013 It won't be long (19 September?) before we can celebrate the first anniversary of the announcement of the raft of M240 accessories and not one (to my knowledge) is yet available. You have to wonder at Leica's production planning.

wlaidlaw Posted August 7, 2013 Share #8 Posted August 7, 2013 I thought I saw a fairy at the bottom of my garden talking to a leprechaun. Then I saw an R to M adapter and 14496 grip. Wilson PS I might have been mistaken about the adapter and grip.

You have to wonder at Leica's production planning. More likely the procurement management.... I doubt that Leica contributes one screw to the production of the grip. 2wk Posted August 7, 2013 Share #10 Posted August 7, 2013 So, the "Studio Grip"....will it allow tethering perhaps?
algrove Posted August 7, 2013 Share #11 Posted August 7, 2013 Here in Munich the Leica Store said they were told early September with no more delays. We will see since every other promise has been broken ever since the M announcement. A French dealer told me Monday he had received the standard M grip #14496, but not the MF grip which is what most have said they are looking to get. jaapv Posted August 7, 2013 Share #12 Posted August 7, 2013 Well, the camera arrived within the promised timeframe, albeit not in the numbers some had hoped for.
marknorton Posted August 7, 2013 Share #13 Posted August 7, 2013 I think Leica need to "get a grip"...
01af Posted August 7, 2013 Share #14 Posted August 7, 2013 I thought I saw a fairy at the bottom of my garden talking to a leprechaun. Then I saw an R to M adapter and 14496 grip. Ha! It's obvious you're lying. Because Leica R-to M adapters and 14496 grips don't exist.
algrove Posted August 9, 2013 Share #15 Posted August 9, 2013 Further to my post #11. I called that French dealer back since if he still had the grip in stock someone here could get it. He then told me upon closer examination of the box he realized the grip was for the new vario not the M. Then I told him that was a slap in the face-Leica could get a grip out for the Vario after a few weeks from introduction, but not for the M after nearly one year!
