Sounds like you need to hit the books regarding LR.

Most people like Martin Evening's or Scott Kelby's books. Just Google on Amazon.

Plus, according to your other post, you bought an M-E with no rangefinder experience (despite my suggestion to spend time learning about it though rental or other trial); lots to read on that, too, including the forum FAQ.

I think you'll end up being a lot happier with your decisions if you slow down a bit and get up to speed as much as possible. After that, the forum can be a good place to address questions that linger.

If you prefer video to reading, there are many tutorials on LR, and these are free. Others requiring a fee exist as well, e.g., from Luminous Landscape, George Jardine, and more.

For reading, I recommend the Kelby book, as mentioned above. Scan it in sequence first, before using it as a detailed reference; you'll save a lot of time and grief.

If you are traveling I recommend the following. Well 1st are you shooting while traveling?

If so this. Read all about your camera every nite. Over and over. Shoot everything in raw/jpeg basic.

Save everything either on laptop OR buy many big Sd cards and keep them safe.

Spend time on learning the camera. You will take many many missed shots. Not framed right, out of focus, wrong fstop, wrong shutter.

Anyone who switches to range finders knows this.

I too highly recommend Julieanne Kost. Principal Digital Imaging Evangelist, Adobe Systems, Inc. Adobe Lightroom tutorials. I also recommend Martin evenings books.

I like to have a book by my computer when working but that's me.

Try not to get so caught up in PP now, instead bond with your camera. Do little tests. Set up simple still life's in your travels, shoot at different apertures/speeds that sort of thing.

Bottom line is this, it's not a shortcut kind of system. If you're looking for speed I say Nikon!

Use you iphone as well take iPhoto's of what you're doing w your Leica.

Good luck, and have fun
