pdayton Posted July 18, 2013 Share #1 Posted July 18, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am having trouble with using the flash unit on my V-Lux 4. In my latest "test" I set the flash to "Forced Flash On" and then rotated through all the program modes and the flash only works on "Snapshot" and "C2" mode. Seems very random and can't understand why it doesn't work in the modes I normally use (e.g. Program Mode". Suspect I'm missing something simple? symmetron Posted July 21, 2013 Share #2 Posted July 21, 2013 With most Leica digitals, the frame rate must be selected to "S" as opposed to "C". See if that's the issue.
wdayton Posted July 31, 2013 Share #3 Posted July 31, 2013 Many thanks - you are right and, thinking about it now, it makes sense. All fixed.

I don't have a V-Lux 4 but it seems to be a very versatile camera.

Tim B Posted October 19, 2013 Share #6 Posted October 19, 2013 Georges, I think Vettran is referring to the drive mode rather than the AF (Autofocus) mode. The camera must be set to take single shots rather that continuous shooting for the flash to work properly. This is because the flash cannot recycle quickly enough to fire in continuous shooting mode and thus only functions in single shot mode. Tim
