I am having trouble with using the flash unit on my V-Lux 4. In my latest "test" I set the flash to "Forced Flash On" and then rotated through all the program modes and the flash only works on "Snapshot" and "C2" mode. Seems very random and can't understand why it doesn't work in the modes I normally use (e.g. Program Mode". Suspect I'm missing something simple? Prue

I was recently encouraging my wife to explore the different scene modes on her C-Lux 3 camera. Then I discovered that the camera doesn’t remember her choice when powered down. I explored all Menu options but failed to find a way to force the camera to ‘memorise’ her choice. (Her instruction booklet cannot be found at present) I realise that the C-Lux 3 is a fairly basic camera, which is what many users prefer, but I wondered if any member has found an undocumented way to memorise scene mode choice. A search in the forum returned plenty of pictures, but little discussion. Thank you.

I have seen many posters here saying that the X1 can't go to review mode straight away and that they have to let the lens out before they can review their pics. That's not true. If you read the instruction manual and you will see this: "If you wish to switch the camera on directly to review mode, you can do so by keeping the PLAY button pressed while turning on the main switch." So Press the PLAY button first, the turn the On/Off. Don't lift the PLAY button until you see the screen is on. Cheers
