AceVentura1986 Posted July 15, 2013 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) My Equipment: M-E w original FW, Panasonic Gold SD in 32gigs, iMac running Lion OS. Last night, I installed the card after downloading into Lightroom and the camera failed to recognize the card. It warned that there was no card installed. I removed it, turned the camera off, reseated the card and turned the camera back on, same warning. I the removed the card, reinserted in the iMac, selected the icon and ejected again. This time everything worked. Note, although I don't specifically remember ejecting the first time, it is my practice to do this every time so I'm pretty sure I did it the first time. Any thoughts? Advertisement Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Hi AceVentura1986, Take a look here SD Card Not Detected. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted July 15, 2013 Share #2 Posted July 15, 2013 I would refromat a card like that. First using SDformatter and then in the camera.
bocaburger Posted July 15, 2013 Share #3 Posted July 15, 2013 I had a Sandisk card that the M9 refused to recognize, and no amount of reformatting helped. Three years later that card still works fine in any other camera I use it in other than the M9. So even if that card works for you now and you do reformat it I would still not rely on that card as my only one.
AceVentura1986 Posted July 16, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted July 16, 2013 OK, just installed SDFormatter. What option should I choose for "Logical Address Adjustment"? Also, should I reformat in-camera afterward too? I've always formatted in-camera as each model OS is different. Seems odd not to do so.
