Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted June 23, 2013 Share #1 Posted June 23, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Guys What half cases are available and in use for the M (240). I looked on the A&A website but they have nothing right now. I wanted to try one of theirs as Andy has sworn by them, but also open to other options. I had the Luigi for my M9 and liked that very much but want a red case to go on my Black body

Hey You Posted June 23, 2013 Share #4 Posted June 23, 2013 (edited) Check out Paul Glendell's Classic Cases in the UK. Here's the link to his website : Classic Cases - Hand-stitched Leather Cases for Leica Cameras If you click-through to his FaceBook page you will see his prototype M240 case. Link here : https://www.facebook.com/leicaclassiccases. I have his M9 case and am delighted with it. I intend to upgrade to his M240 case if ever I get this camera in my hot. sweaty hands. dfarkas Posted June 23, 2013 Share #6 Posted June 23, 2013 I've seen all many half cases for Leica Ms over the years and we sell the full range of A&A products. The Arte Di Mano cases are the best I've seen and used. The fit and finish is unmatched. There is no slop, no awkward or loose fit. Incredible attention to detail. rirakuma Posted June 23, 2013 Share #8 Posted June 23, 2013 I'd have to agree with David. Although I've never used those cases before they have the best fit and finish compared to any other cases I've seen so far. Downside is they're extremely expensive. colorflow Posted July 19, 2013 Share #19 Posted July 19, 2013 Just received my silver M and the Arte de Mano case today within hours of each other. I agree the de Mano case is by far the most elegant and has the best fit. I've used a Luigi case for my M8 and M9, and bought an Angelo Pelle case also for the M. The AP case is very rugged and has a built-in grip which will come in handy when using heavier R glass. But the de Mano case is the best.
sisoje Posted July 20, 2013 Share #20 Posted July 20, 2013 Once I get my New M, I am getting Luigi's most simple half case with flap door on the back. No grip, no bottom screw, no fancy... I have one from my M8 days, and I use it on my M9. I had one with grip and bottom screw and always fought when removing it (damn screw!)... Sold it... I also got another (used on FM forum) simple Luigi in brown for my recently acquired Steel Gray M9... Arte de Mano sure looks pretty (in picture)! But, I see there is no real protection at the back of the camera... Not just for the screen but even for all control buttons (since there is no back cover...) and rear of the top plate. So (for me) it is more of a "bling" than a real protection accessory. Back to Luigi: after having multiple samples of his cases for digital Ms, I never had any issues regarding fitment. So Signore Luigi, I will go back to you:p
