That's all for now folks.

I took a lot more with my MM and zeiss planar 50/2 ..... and to be honest the XV produces images which are equally a sharp .....

Anyway, in true Leica fashion, the XV excels at reportage and is a fine addition to the Leica legacy ....

ps .... quite a few of these were at iso 1200+, but you would never know after NR in LR.

He's a medical doctor but is also known as the Cedars forest warrior. One of the fiercest environmentalists in Lebanon. A friend, a guide a mountain man and my hero. He hates seeing a camera pointing to his face but this time I insisted until I got this one!

and 100% crops ......

Holly Molly, that's beautiful. Both shot are amazing. Are you sure one is with an M :-)

Well, looking at the full frame I can't really say which is which but the close up may reveal that the second one is the one of the XV due to a slightly lower resolution shown on the edge of he books. Am I right?!

PS: why haven't joined us on Facebook yet? Waiting for those pictures and comparos to be posted there ;-)

An interesting exercise!

I thought I could see a clear difference between the full size shots, one handling the colours and highlights more to my liking than the other. Then I looked at the crops and the position with respect to detail and acuity is reversed. Overall, I prefer the second shot (on the right as you look at the screen) - the greater contrast is more to my taste and it has more of a 3D quality - but which is which camera, I couldn’t say. I reckon that with different processing the shots could be made to match each other virtually exactly.
