Identify MR versus MR4

I have what I think is an MR4, but the engraving on the body of this meter, the box, and the small leather case all say just plain "MR". The black plastic button is on top of the meter, not at the back. In other words, it matches all the photos I have seen of the MR4.

As they say, "If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and waddles like a duck, then it must be a duck".

Was it Leica policy to label the MR4 as MR, or do I have an oddball? SN # 39857

Which has more mercury in it, a PX625 battery, a human that eats ocean fish, or a person whose teeth have amalgam fillings?

Hello Al & Ash,

Welcome to the Forum both of you.

Usually amalgam.

Most people don't eat enough in the way of either fish or mercury batteries to equal the ammount of mercury in their amalgam fillings.

Best Regards,

Michael

Thanks for the info. Therefore, to be consistent, we should ban the immigration of anyone who eats ocean fish or has amalgam fillings! NASA should also ban all exploration of the planet Mercury. These are harsh measures, but our health is at stake.
