Very handsome and well shot and framed. I am partial to the scarlet tanangers we see occasionally around here, but they are shy. You mostly get a fleeting glimpse in flight or through binocs.

Karl - Thank you. As a child my favorite birds were cardinals, cedar waxwings and scarlet tanagers.

 

Mine has always been the Pileated Woodpecker. Love the look, love the call.
