I've been largely away from the forum for a few weeks but it's good to see the thread still chugging along.

Part of the Grey's Court (NT) estate near Henley-on-Thames. Wrong part of the country but the scene had a bit of a Constable vibe about it.

Myneighbour asked me to take photos of her new house before it is renovated. Built in the 1860's, it belonged to a local ship builder, but has stood empty and unheated for the last fifty years. Amazingly, it is in fair condition.

LOL, was showing these pics to my wife, and discussing your ventures through Cirque Terre, and saw the name on the transom of one of the yachts moored, "Aotearoa". How's that.

Gary

That's why I included it for you, Gary - Rugged individual that you are...

"I have learned a lot about the relative exposure needed to correctly expose prove 100F and velvia 50. It aint a simple matter of increasing the exposure by one stop for velvia 50 vs the provia. The velvia needs quite a bit more light, whereas the provia is pretty true to the incident meter reading, at least for evenly lit scenes."

Adam I agree Fuji Velvia needs sunny light , it's better and the color is wonderful , no comparison with other digital system.

Deep color and faithfully reproduced.

For Provia , it's easier less demandaing but have also nice color result.

For your iPad, do you know Photos Google ?

The yellow color of the letter box (picture 2) is clearer and also the yellow on the large billboard above the entrance to the "metropolitan" subway, you agree ?

Very nice shots and also great memories for me la Gare du Nord. Its reminds me  some

songs of Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel the french singers

Best

H.

Thanks, Henry. It is definitely better without the excessive blue. These shots were scanned by a shop (part of the processing), so I'll re-scan the negatives when I pick them up.

Henry - i am not familiar with google photos. I will look it up.

Velvia and Provia are both fantastic films. Each has its own strengths and i think that Provia is the perfect film in a wider range of situations. Best, adam

Not so hot in Cumbria, Henry. More like this:

Kowa Six, Portra 160 NC, 80mm/2.8

Plustek 120, Vuescan

Interestingly, My Leica M-P can't seem to tell the difference between the colour if the bag that's being sat on and the hat with either Capture Pro One or Lightroom.
