Thanks David for your nice comment

Here is the equipment for macrophotography I often take with me

during bike trekking or walk

Focus at 0.60 cms  with Macro Elmar 90 versus 0.70 usually

Manfrotto light carbon fiber tripod + M7 + Macro-Elmar 90 + Macro Adapter

+ Viewfinder magnifier 90° (to view from the top) .

I recognize that this is a bit complicated but can make macro 1:3  ,

but it is less heavy than the Leica SLR that I had  ! :)

Pictures taken with :  Leica M8 - 50 Summilux Asph

Best

Henry

Thanks Henry.

I see that there is a separate viewing system. The extra 10cm does not sound too much, but combined with the 90mm macro it is clearly enough for the superb shots you have posted.

Two versions again. I know they differ a lot in framing but I'm curious, which do you prefer and why?

203FE 80/2.8 on Portra 160 and scanned with the Coolscan 9000 (wet mount).

First one for me. But I am looking at this from an aesthetic point of view and an image I would want to hang on my wall.

You are drawn to the float in focus and keep coming back to it after scanning around the photograph. I like the way the light falls on the float and the shadow effect on the water. The second one is a record of the day, the environment etc. I am unlikely to want to look at this as often as the first one.

Ive looked and looked at these. Really like #2. But the foreground in the first edges it for me. Much prefer to see through the incoming water than wet sand.
