The film is scantily marked, simply "Kodak", and the neg numbers, nothing else. Film base is exceptionally "clear", almost white looking. If my notation of the date is correct it was 1990, and the film would have been purchased, not bulk rolled. At the time I did use 120 film for aerial photos, but this was 70mm film, hand rolled. These pics came from 35mm film.Phone pic of a segment attached. Hope this helps. Thank you Gary for these wonderful time capsules from 1990 and your forensic work in tracking down the negatives. IR film famously lends a surreal and quirky look to green foliage and blue skies, but your placement of human figures and architecture works particularly well in the pictures you’ve shared. On a personal note Sue and I were delighted to meet with you and Shirley in Frankston last weekend, and to share a lot of laughs and many great stories. 4

I suspect it’ll be some version of Kodak HIE film (I could not find any reference to other Kodak B&W 35mm IR films). Furthermore, the blooming whites seem to indicate a lack of an anti-halation layer (just like Kodak HIE). Anyway, it hardly matters as that film is out of production for about 20 years… 2

But then-- that’s actually the very definition of a diptych – two images that communicate with each other. Good communication – good diptych. Do you also do couples counseling, Rog?
