Have been follwing this thread for a long time without an own contribution. Yesterday I acquired a Nikon ES-2 adapter for Z 50mm MC. This is one of the first tests with 35 years old negatives.

Ilford HP5+ developed in ID11, inverted with C1.

wow, this is stunning! Really hope to see more.

Thank you! Very much appreciated. It is nature and life, which provide us with stunning moments. Good to have a camera at hand to preserve something, that these moments provide. And yes, I like film too!

From a roll of HP5 where the rest of the roll looked fine - not sure what happened to this scan but I think I kind of like it...

Tuna - it looks like it might be some unintentional excess sharpening, either by the scanning software, or in Pshop (or editing software) I use a lot of HP5 also, in Rodinal, very similar to some of your work. This is what it might look like if I accidentally have sharpening set on the scanner. I've also seen weird grain if I apply an extreme curve when scanning.

Thanks - yes, I think I applied some sharpening after the fact. What we also see may be my attempt to bring out some detail in the lower part through levels/contrast - I probably should have just left it alone where it was extremely faded…
