Leica R6.2, Summicron-R 50, Kodak Vision3 500T (no filter).

Sehr stimmungsvoll, Dein Bild vom Abendlicht, John. Ist das ein See in den Dünen ? Wahrscheinlich ideal zum Beobachten der Vögel.   😇

Very nice, Rog. Just as an abstract artwork.

But it also works as a  story: Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Superman, trying to save the Earth from the impact of the comet!

Absolutely ! Tell me more !

( Are you aware that Rog is performing  Rorschach-Tests on us --for years now. I mean, I love it. But that may be just a variant of the Stockholm Syndrome. Anyway, tell me more !  😜

Thank you, I haven't seen a short eared owl for a very long time. But perhaps I´d need to be outside in the dark more often.

I'am impressed how this 60 years old lens handles light and contrasts.
I will see what the future brings.

I found this negative tonight when sorting out my bookshelves in the study, after thinking it had been lost many years back. Technically not a great shot and damaged neg, but it made the front page of the Daily Express the morning of 10/03/1990. This was at disturbances  in Brixton and Stockwell in south London after protests against the so-called Poll Tax. Tri-X, Nikon FM2 and 50mm, flash.

I was paid £200 for it which was quite a decent amount in those days!
