fotografr Posted April 19, 2023 Share #86344  Posted April 19, 2023 34 minutes ago, christoph_d said: Thank you. In fact it was a Leica-0 Replica (sorry to disappoint anyone, I will indicate it in the future), part of the first batch from 2000 (I believe), with the incredibly bad "viewfinder" (where everyone thinks you are holding a digital camera as you squint through a tiny window at arm's length desperately trying to see what's in the viewfinder while at the same time attempting to keep the middle axis straight...) definitely a hit and miss affair. Enough has been written about the non-self-capping shutter and the ability to change shutter speeds only when the shutter is half wound on... or the shutter speed that is given in millimetres, not seconds. However, once you got used to those features - well as used as you can get - the camera warms on you as it really is as basic as one can get and very compact. And the Anastigmat 3,5/50 is a little treasure in itself. I'll post some more pictures soon. Thanks very much. Based on the image you posted, I would say the effort that went into it was well worth it. I'll keep watching for more.

Popular Post fotografr Posted April 19, 2023 Popular Post Share #86346  Posted April 19, 2023 This image is from the mid-1970s when teenagers parked their cars along a busy avenue downtown and just hung out to watch their friends drive (or race) past. This is no longer possible because the city officials got tired of the hectic atmosphere and racing so they eliminated the parking, greatly reduced the speed limit and made it illegal to "loiter." Several aspects appear to me to be outstanding, the depth implied by the layering of greys from the dark front to the light back, the richness of detail and the absence of sky which unifies the image. May I ask which developer you used? Hi Christoph, It was Ilford DD-X 1+4 for 10.5 minutes film rated normally. I did have a yellow filter on which adds to the depth of tones by separating them more.

The Micro 55 seems to be a nice lens!   Thank you Christoph, the Micro 55 without doubt is one of Nikons great classics. I think you can still order a  new one...  Compared to the Elmarit 2,8/ 60 which is the only R-lens I kept from my R-times: I think you have to look really hard to find that the Elmarit is slightly better. At least that is what a ( professional photographer ) friend tells me.
