Lovely photos!

Looks so very much like Itzhak Perlman, and he lived (lives) just off the Park. By 1980 he sure wasn't asking for spare change and that isn't a Strad. But he was very much inclined to do that sort of thing. Do you know if it was he?

I love this look @Wayne. Really feel like walking over the barn and explore. Looks so peaceful

I had to google the camera, you surely are putting it to good use.

Oh my, he certainly looks like him a lot! I never thought to ask at the time - young and ignorant as I was.

In the early 80s, he was still trying to make a number for himself. He came to Madison, WI, where I was teaching. Israeli friends of mine went to his recital, probably to support a fellow Israeli. They excitedly told me how brilliant this "unknown" violinist was. Several years later, I saw him with his family in FAO Schwarz buying Hanukkah toys with his family. A whole entourage of fans following. Very different level of recognition!

The saxophone isn’t my favorite music instrument, but your little picture series is truly amazing with this one here my favorite. What a great use of light and I like the use of this wide open lens a lot!

During the lunar new year in Vietnam, it is customary to visit a calligraphy artist and have some good luck wishes prepared and displayed in the house. This one is a wish for good health to the household.

I tried and failed to convince my daughter that this man is beautiful but it lead to an interesting discussion about the meaning of beautiful.

Light was challenging but the man and scene were really special.
