Looks like you're enjoying that Fuji behemoth, Ken, and doing some excellent work with it. Do you find you are having to use a tripod or is it comfortably hand-holdable?

Thanks so much, Phil. Originally, I took a tripod, but so far, with 400 film during the day, I'm fine handholding even with an orange filter and I've only had a few that show any shake. The lens is a 28 equivalent; the focusing circle is very small and light, so it's best for zone shooting at infinity,

There's so much outstanding work here! Your whole series of the fun fair is quite captivating. (I had to throw in a little alliteration for Phil's sake, but it's the repetition that speaks to your subject going around and around. These are all mystical and fun, technically awesome. This is your next publication?

So many of us have been intrigued by this "motion picture" that it surely must be playing at a cinema, soon. Did someone lose a wedding ring? Is this a tryout for The African Queen and the famous "leeches" scene with Humphrey Bogart?

These landscapes really have neo-noir look that echoes the palette of some of Gerhard Richter's works of commonplace landscapes rendered with his blurred brushwork. I get the blur effect with your work by simply taking off my glasses. I don't have to squint to check color values of a painting or a photograph this way. Ha, ha.

Here are some people enjoying the Booster Maxx, which is the spinning thing that created the big disc I showed before.

I had a hilarious time catching people spinning around in this and they all cheered when they saw me taking pictures :D

This is on Fuji Superia 1600, seriously outdated and badly stored. I shot it at box speed which I normally wouldn't do with such an old film but it worked out. I shot the 50 Summilux wide open to have any chance at all at some sharpness. Seems it paid off.

So energized. Adroit capture. Your astounding series needs Steidl publication.

Is that the comedy team "Flip and Flop?" This is the act to "end" all acts, but like savvy film directors know, you always print the first take.

These pictures remind me of the series of Las Meninas re-interpretations by Pablo Picasso of the original by Diego Velazquez.

Absolutely right!  I haven't seen Picasso's rendition, so thanks for that. My shot and the collage are actually not connected, except that I cannot escape the catalogue of lagoon images in my mind. I simply went back through some my shots to explain where I started to construct the collage. Today, I received the book of an 2017 exhibition of Matisse and Diebenkorn, and it's very interesting to trace how much Diebenkorn drew from Matisse. Listed in the catalogue are the titles of 42 Matisse books that Diebenkorn had in his library.

Taking off! This has such an uplifting spirit--something we all could use, right now.  In my mind, I'm imagining the music of the Mexican trumpet player, and then my eye drifts down to the player's left hand tucked under his arm, a telling detail. He's so good, he doesn't need to play with both hands, and you're so good, you caught it. Good show!

It´s such a drag. And it´s good to have photos as yours--in a while everybody will ask him-or herself: Why didn't I take more photos of this incredible period ???

Despite being a pensioner, I still work in my old job as an eye doctor once or twice a week ....it´s really a demanding experience-mainly for the elder patients.. I try to  laugh with the patients about  the strange situation as often as possible, that makes it tolerable.

nice photo, Fedro.  what was the event and what film did you use?

I agree, that looks a bit flat. But perhaps the spooky atmosphere is what you wanted ?

I just put two Acros II through with D 76-- the negatives look good so far.

DD-X should be an adequate developer for this kind of film too.. so keep us informed if you find out what happened.

Rog, there is a international fraternity of Artsy-fartsy-disciples.... So far I have avoided to bare my lens to the products, but thinking about it.....

Amanita rubescens is a steep choice. Too close to amanita panthera for me. In the long run. Sparassis crisps are nice, pretty rare but not too rare.  Last year I found a 1,2 kg example... It is more a habitat or a complete cosmos than a single mushroom...   Where I live, Steinpilz= Boletus edulis is the most common edible mushroom. Not bad.

Good luck ! 🤤

There was not much to be found yesterday. Saturday was too cold. Lots of russulae, but nothing for the pot except for some boleti erytrophi (Hexenröhrlinge in German).

And this one: a young phallus impudicus and it´s visitors.
