And another one. I think you can clearly see the differences in how the Fuji and the Eagle render the colours, though my pp may play a role.

The Eagle640 - like the Color Implosion - unfortunately belonging to a now extinct species...

Very nice portrait Michael which shows his character well. What film and developer?

My late friend Emmett. A man of happy aspect, always a smile, and usually a beer or two to share. No sign of pretension, just take him as he comes. A good man and a good friend.

This made me laugh. Very creative.

It's a nice portrait, but all the watermarks detract a bit.

Terrific Wayne. Was this at minimum distance with the Hektor?

So I'm kneeling down, knees creaking etc, to shoot this clover which I thought looked nice. Then this little fly decides to land and I somehow managed to refocus and shoot before it left.

Yes, sorry Henry, I just remembered your question - these 16-bit TIF scans are around 41-42 mb if scanned as B&W for display or printing, or around 123 mb if scanned as RGB for publication. How about your workflow - what size scans are you creating?

Phil , thank you for your interesting reply I am not alone now

...me too when I scan with Nikon Coolscan 5000 in Tiff 16 bits in sRGB I have the same size

as you ie 118 Mo in color (and in b&w like you 40 Mo in Tiff 16 bits)

and with the same image in color in comparison (same camera digital M and analog M) I obtain 10 Times

less 12 Mo in Raw-DNG (Adobe Lightroom 16 bits) DNG= Digital Negative created by Adobe

Tiff = Tagged Image File Format  created by Microsoft

"This format is particularly useful for jobs requiring a very high resolution, because it has the

advantage of maintaining the initial quality of the image. In addition, it allows to be recorded

and changed infinitely without loss of information, which is not the case of JPEG".
