AntonioF Posted December 20, 2017 Share #44081 Posted December 20, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Here's another view of the wheel. I like this photo because of the starburst in the cabin in spite of the visual distraction due to the buildings. chrism Posted December 20, 2017 Share #44084 Posted December 20, 2017 . I would be interested in that recipe, my wife can only eat bread baked with European non-gmo flour, she has allergies to American flour. We have flour shipped in from the UK for her. I came across some negatives the other day, apparently a year ago I developed a roll of XP2 shot at 400 in Ilfosol 3, the negatives are indistinguishable from those developed in C41. I'll be interested in seeing the results of your new experiments. So far I'm not happy with the results I am getting with XP2 in HC-110, I'm losing all shadow detail. I'm not giving up yet though. Sounds like you need to increase the development time a little. I'll PM you the recipe (for the bread, not the development). C.

EoinC Posted December 20, 2017 Share #44091 Posted December 20, 2017 Eoin the rendering in b&w is superb in this picture What lens have you for this landscape ? The space effect is great So you were in Gary country Nice pictures Hi, Henry (You are our Christmas present). This shot was with a SWC, which is a fixed Biogon 38mm f/4.5. Yes, I was lucky enough to catch up with Gary at Cambridge (the NZ version), near his home of Hamilton. Cheers, Eoin
EoinC Posted December 20, 2017 Share #44092 Posted December 20, 2017 Another from Plage de la Pointe, same roll as earlier. I also shot with my Hasselblad (of course) so I'll bore you with those once I get them scanned. Adam, thanks for your comment about the muted colours. I see that now, here on my office screen. I'll try to punch up the colours a bit at home to better reflect the bright sunny day on which this was shot. Flickr Hi, Philip. I really like the textural colour that comes through here. The earthy concrete looks like a scumbled ground in an oil painting - an effect which often appears to me to be a complete painting in itself. It, in turn, makes the graffiti look wet and alive. Beautiful!

chrism Posted December 20, 2017 Share #44100 Posted December 20, 2017 Norally, exposure controls shadow detail, while development time controls contrast. I would be suspicious of under exposure. In C41, XP2's inherent speed is 200. I wouldn't expect HC110 to change that. I have been using continuous agitation in the motorised Rondinax lately, so my times might need tweaking (upwards) a bit for intermittent agitation. If you're right about the 200 (and I have heard that in several places), I don't feel too bad that 3200 was very iffy as it was 4 stops under-exposed. Of course the other side of the coin now tells me that at EI 50 I have only over-exposed by two stops and EI 25 ought to look different and be worth a try. Shall I be impatient and use HC-110, the LegacyPro L110 or wait for the Ilfotec HC? I think I'll wait, as I will have to do it over again in Ilfotec HC.
