A miller Posted August 24, 2017 Share #38924 Posted August 24, 2017 Faster than a speeding train for sure Adam. Nicely captured. How do you find the 250/5.6? The body can handle it mounted OK? No tripod mount on the lens? I'm contemplating the 250/4.0FE. At 920g, it's just a little lighter than your SA, but without tripod mount. Not one I'd use too often, but with SWC/60/110, it'd be handy to have. Pretty impossible to find much info on these Hasselblad telephotos. Hi Richard - my 250 superachromat is probably the lens in my collection (including all my Leica and MF Zeiss lenses) that i revere the most. Despite what I thought when I bought the lens , it has become more than just "handy" to have. I actually use it quite often for tightly framed landscapes. . I have also used it with my 16mm extension tube and it works great and also my 2x Mutar tele-converter. It is relatively compact especially compared to the 500 mm. There is no need and in fact no way to attach the lens to a tripod. Having said this, it needs to be used with a strong tripod and is very sensitive to any motion from wind or whatever. Provided that the land is completely stable, the resulting images will be among the sharpest that zeiss ( or anyone else ) can offer
Suede Posted August 24, 2017 Share #38925 Posted August 24, 2017 ... at the right moment Suede Film is Kodak ? nice color Thanks for posting Best Henry Yes, Doc, Kodak; probably Color Plus 200. I'm usually careless not keeping track of which film I use. Today, I'm going to Grenoble – to the lab that does dev and scans for me. Just shy of 60 rolls since about October 2016! For the trip, I was disciplined and made notes... more or less

High praise indeed considering all those other lenses with ZEISS (or Leitz/Leica) written on the front I imagine you have. I'll investigate the f/4.0 FE option first as it's a lot cheaper (almost 1/4 the price), a bit smaller and for my type of use (landscape/the odd surf shot) I think probably adequate. I do have a good tripod and monster ball head (RRS BH55) that should hold it all tight. Thanks for the feedback.

philipus Posted August 24, 2017 Share #38929 Posted August 24, 2017 Super shot, love it. A great cricket shot. CHANDIGARH Net practice: That's cricket. Net practice.jpg This is very nice. Kind of Blue m6 / agfavista200/ konica50mm That would be a good price for a 250FE methinks. I've only seen them for just south of 1000 Eur. Btw I take it you have a 2xx series body? That lens is focal plane only. I have the 350/4 FE for my 203FE which obviously is a massive lens. I'm still in two minds about it. Optically it is nice but I don't think it is even near the 250 SA in quality. Then again having the aperture automation is useful with such a long lens. Thanks Adam. SilentShutter Posted August 24, 2017 Share #38930 Posted August 24, 2017 https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/276051-nikon-d850-film-scanner/ Pete Still - whats your point ? You can digitalize negative/positive film with any digital camera. Sure the new Nikon has 45 megapixel and a big dynamic rage but I bet a lot of normal film scanner still kick ass if you handle them right !

Doc Henry Posted August 24, 2017 Author Share #38934 Posted August 24, 2017 (edited) https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/276051-nikon-d850-film-scanner/ Pete Pete , I know you must follow your present time , but I am afraid that it's another step of digitalizing .... a "film" picture with its grain . Don't forget you can print your image. Scanner or other similar way meets also (and always) square pixels , "smoothing" after by software of the camera or scanner, the result is edges and lines hypernet and finally a "digital aspect" ... like in digital camera. If you like film , it's better you photograph with film as support If I don't post here on LF , I don't scan my pictures. Best Henry Still - whats your point ? You can digitalize negative/positive film with any digital camera. Guest Posted August 24, 2017 Share #38940 Posted August 24, 2017 Great picture Hans You have post processed ? Best Henry Thanks Henry, Kodak X-Plus 125 developed in Rodinal R09. Scanned full frame by Nikon Coolscan, which works thanks of Vuescan still on my Mac. Post processing should be done by Aperture 3 or Gimp, mixed with a little bit Sepia color, I can't remember exactly. My next contribution got somewhat more post processing: Leica IIIa syn, Super-Angulon 4.0-21mm, Ilford Delta 400, Rodinal R09, Coolscan, Vuescan, Lightroom, external frame done by Graphic Converter. I colored this photo in yellow to remind of the original color of this VW-Beetle Typ 11 "Ovali" (about 1955), which was a company car of the German Postal Service. Welcome, dear visitor!
