Around the world in one shot

Miniature World, Pattaya, Thailand featuring in one shot Sydney Opera House, Tower Bridge London, Trevi Fountain Italy and The Cologne Cathedral

Leica M3, Fuji Acros, 50mm DR summicron

35162634843_4df5b5cc7a_o.jpg

I've been to a lot of "mini" places, but none like that!

Love the mid-tone rich rendition of the Acros.  Is that how you would describe it?  A little like the Delta 100 only a little more contrasty, but not as much as Tri-X? ??

I hope this allowed as a comparison of this place at night. Shot on an M240 and Summicron. Quite a spectacular venue.

17164585812_836343da21_o.jpg

Ray and Adam, beautiful black and grey tone. Why I notice only black and also grey !

because in digital black isn't nice homgeneous, "blocked" unhomogeneous

(you can see well when you crop) in comparison with film

The Fuji Acros has a TMAX100 side IMHO !

Both are nice and are fine grain as Adam said

Very nice definition contrast and details in your b&w pictures. In comparison I like

the b&w version

Thanks for posting Ray

Another view of Sydney opera in picture, but lines and edges are too sharp

Impressive in first glance because you have a vivid color and modification of light

in this case by the software of the camera.

Some people like this type of pictures.

I am sure if you take in film at the same moment , you don't have the same

aspect.

Very interesting moment.  One doesn't know what that mean looking dog is up to and when its impulses will take over and attack....nice :)

Another shot with the Leica IIIf, Elmar, Tri-X.

Excellent results, Richard, especially for the first time. I must say, though, The color palette on the Pro 400H has me sold. Is the Provia 400 expired or is it still available for purchase by you?

Thanks Adam, there are more than a few not so great ones with the Provia I'm keeping locked up. :) It's expired, refrigerated stock, I used 5 so far, 5 to go.

I've absolutely loved FujiPro 400 every time I've used it, it's only failing for me is it's price.

I want to show you this picture not terrible IMO :)

perhaps you don't like it

But I like for three reasons first it's Kodak TMAX400

secondly the body shadow under the arch (I would like

no bodies at right) ,and thirdly I took it with my MP and a new

lens just purchased.

I mean the Summicron 35 Asph  >  really wide angle effect

in this picture with paving stone in foreground :)

A ballad in the city 2017

I like the soft tones of Tmax, Henry and the 35mm FOV.

<snip> on second thoughts, I like it as it is. (I'd suggested cropping the left a little, but I like the curve of the lights/brighter right-side.)

'Half a person' is (almost always) annoying, at least the girl is looking that way/a little mystery is produced.

I though this was cute, at the previous beach (Ektar, MP)

35613286100_a981b871e9_c.jpg

I wished this one was with negative film, not Provia, to give more life to the foreground.

Running down the steep-sided sand dunes at dusk.

I promise I am down to my last roll or two from the wonderful Bennett's Beach, Myall Lakes, NSW. (!)

Good and funny idea to take this

Very nice color Richard but if you want more vivid Portra 400 or 800

or Cinestill 800 like Adam :) like in the second picture, you'll have more color and light

Like this Richard :) .

Not bad your idea. I rarely crop my pictures  that's why.

The next time,  I wait for only someone just pass under the arch

I need just a shadow

During my last mission in september 2016 , I was in a Tower hotel in Danang City

I saw very beautiful sunset landscapes and with the Apo Telyt ,  I took some pictures

from 70m.

The color is wonderful and the moutains highlight this sunset .

Here a first picture... and also to show Ray :) that you can photograph in dark

light condition and in color , without digital use. (I will post some pictures in digital if you want

the samesunset  landscapes  for comparison with M8 and M9;the landscape is not the same and color too)

Leica M7-ApoTelyt 135 Asph-Kodak Portra 160-Tripod

Portra dev myself in Tetenal 38°C

Danang sept 2016 at sunset 7pm

just to show you color of sunset under the tropics :)

Important picture not corrected :) I want to keep the atmosphere and the light

of this moment. The city is very noisy the day and when you see the houses in foreground

it seems quiet !

Lovely colours Henry. Ektar is great, probably why it took me so long to get to positive film.

MP/50APO, no tripod with Ektar.

5am, 10 miles of beach to myself and I managed to get my footprints in the frame!

Very funny. I've always found it amusing that the flipflops are called thongs down there.

Terrific shot. I love those little clouds to the left. And I don't think I've ever managed to shoot such a beach photo without footsteps. Makes a massive difference.

Those colors are sublime, what a peaceful yet powerful sight! Just two remarks: I would have cloned the footsteps away or cropped the picture. And I would have leveled the horizon. All in all I am a bit envious  :) Great stuff!

Back to my quick trip to London a couple of weeks ago, here's photo of the underpass close to the King's Cross station.  I consider this a trial run as I will go back next time during rush hour and add "commuter ghosts" like I did with the Canary Wharf station photo.

With that said, which do you like better...?

The first is with Ektar and my SWC

I've seen loads of photos from this underpass but none with a square frame.  I suppose one m right naturally want to crop the Hassy frame to make it rectangular.  But I actually think the square works quite well with that is in this particular frame...

(the colors along the panel changed very frequently and the necessary long exposure captured the multiple changing colors; not much I couldn't have don't about this especially if I want to capture the ghosts next time and not freeze motion)
