MarkP Posted July 23, 2017 Share #36701 Posted July 23, 2017 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) To break protocol slightly, here are some photographs I did not take. This was a roll of film I found in a bag of cameras I bought at a local charity shop. This was my first "found film". I have found and developed 2 more since this one but this is the most impressive, the whole film contains 36 pretty good photos. I have identified the location of these photos and am trying to find the family. Camera - unknown, film - Ansco Ultra-Speed Panchromatic, developed in Ilfosol 3 for 20 minutes. Location, 4407 Shaw Blvd, St. Louis, Missouri. Sheet041_002_Shaw_Blvd.jpg Sheet041_003_Shaw_Blvd.jpg Sheet041_012_Shaw_Blvd.jpg Good luck with this. Have you been able too date the photos? Someone from the 'name this car' thread may be able to help taste them by the cars. I've just asked over there. They'll probably like the challenge. A miller Posted July 23, 2017 Share #36702 Posted July 23, 2017 (edited) Leica M6TTL - 50mm Summilux Asph, Ilford XP-2 @200 Digitized with Leica Beoon and Fuji XT-1 and studio flash set-up. Lots of PP in Photoshop Asian Elder very well, done. Dramatic and/but tastefully processed. I might suggest that you consider crushing the shadows around his right arm. That's the only part that doesn't quite look totally in sync with the level of processing of the rest of the image. Just my 2 cents... mikemgb Posted July 23, 2017 Share #36703 Posted July 23, 2017 Good luck with this. Have you been able too date the photos? Someone from the 'name this car' thread may be able to help taste them by the cars. I've just asked over there. They'll probably like the challenge. We think we have roughly dated the film, we have managed to contact one person who lived at this address as a child during that period. Unfortunately she doesn't remember any of these people. Thank you for posting on Name This Car, that may help narrow it down.

Mostly, the islanders are employed in fishing. This is an old picture, and fishing is now a more modern technology. A very friendly place. Doc Henry Posted July 23, 2017 Author Share #36712 Posted July 23, 2017 (edited) Those Portra 160 colours are always a joy to the eye! Paul Walking the dogs.jpg Portra 160 colours... through Carl Zeiss glass! Paul More Portra 160 colours! Paul Strolling by the pool.jpg Hi Paul I recognize Portra color here I ask myself why some people still prefer color in digital and continue using it I think you don't use photo software to correct color , not the case with digit.always it must be corrected and color is always approximate ! sensor , not the best support for color Thank you Paul Henry Edited July 23, 2017 by Doc Henry

Doc Henry Posted July 23, 2017 Author Share #36716 Posted July 23, 2017 (edited) The proof ! you said "approximate color" ? Two pictures M7 film Kodak Portra 160 and digital M8 160 Isos the faithful color is film , sorry to deceive you ! compare color of wood , mud , leaves and flowers ! too much saturation in digital and change in color ! magenta appears a bit (same notice in M240) ... even the pot of flowers seem new and darker red in digit.
