gsgary Posted October 30, 2016 Share #23361 Posted October 30, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am not a big fan of Kodak Gold, but I must say that the colors and overall palette in this photo are sublime. This was my late father's go-to film stock (although I think there was a professional series of this film that he used), and I have the sense that they changed the formula or something in the manufacturing since the manufacture date of the film from 10+ years ago. Love these dog and horse shots, Gary. The greens and browns are really stellar. Those dogs are so cute; don't see enough of them here in NYC Thank you very much Adam, my friend was having a clear out of his film gear just wish i had bought his Devere 504 enlarger i passed on it but that was before i bought the Fuji GW690III but took his 3 rolls of Kodak Gold and other B+W 120 film

gsgary Posted October 30, 2016 Share #23362 Posted October 30, 2016 More from the Orang Asli on the South Coast of Timor. interestingly, I didn't find them - They found me. I had ridden from Kupang to the Southern cliffs. After spending a night in a village there, I found a trail down to the coast. I was asleep under a tree down in a cove, and when I woke up, a bunch of them were standing over me. They took me back to their hut, and fed me some coconut. They didn't speak Bahasa, but traded fish for rice sometimes with a small Indonesian village I passed on the way down the hill... The photograph of the family standing in front of their home is one for all times. Thanks, Wayne. It was a special, chance encounter, which had faded to the back recesses of my memory until I discovered these slides a couple of days ago. I didn't remember taking any photo's, but certainly remembered the experience.
EoinC Posted October 30, 2016 Share #23368 Posted October 30, 2016 These shots are up there with the likes of one of my favourite photographers Don McCullin Thank you, Gary. This was a very hardy group of people, living in a tiny World whereby they had never even been to the larger village at the top of the cliffs. I wonder how they are doing now, 30 years on.

Sparkassenkunde Posted October 30, 2016 Share #23371 Posted October 30, 2016 Back from a week on vacation at the Baltic Sea coast. Did only three rolls, but wanted to share some results here with you. I had my Mamiya 635 with me, but ended up using only my IIIc and my Rollei Prego micron. Color pictures will arrive next week, so here some Tri-X from this morning. I had to crop the picture due to some massive light leaks in my Rollei. Maybe its time to buy me a Minilux Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members!
