Likely contrary to most forum members, but this is Christmas weather and activities for many of us "down-under"

I spent virtually every weekend and holidays at this beach, we had a bach there.

A diptych of dusty, scratched, reticulated and generally beaten-up negatives:

both 1980

Disarming diptych, the warning of the no go signs, fragmented in space and time, the handwork of the black margins, the urban versus the suburban, the (subtitled) ominous music in broad daylight, worn adjectives that never catch up, bring on the "beat-up negatives, bruised exposures making no excuses, there's no more "so what" here. This could be a starter for even Rauschenberg. A little jazz drumming might do in the meantime. Take care, Phil, on your Moto Guzzi.

Thank you so very much Rog. You even point out to me that my diptych has a subtitle in the poster on the wall of the left-hand image, "double trouble". I hadn't realized that before. And I have to say that your Hanapepe Sketch underlines what I'd long suspected - that Adox created Mission precisely for your strong and visceral sense of color composition.

And I'd also like to wish everyone here, all of whom "Like Film" and your families, a wonderful Christmas and a very happy, healthy and film-filled New Year.

Might I add to Rog's observation about the diptych... the "poster on the wall of the left-hand image" could well be read as a standalone sign, seeing that it appears to be held up by the vertical shadow of the traffic light upright pole on the pavement.

I'd also like to wish everyone here and your families Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

What a great rendering, Doc! Very Turnerian! You could just imagine Mr. Darcy or Heathcliff walking out of the mist.

Thanks Kent for your nice comment

Fog always has something mysterious about it , like imagining Mr. Heathcliff's exit  😀.

That said, the film renders the fog particularly beautiful due to the fact that fog is made up of micro-droplets of water  😍 , and the silver grains in the film perfectly correspond to these droplets .
