The Pedestrians Pest! - A Street Photographer.

A series of three that I shot in Melbourne yesterday with my Hasselblad 203FE & 110mm Planar lens. I was shooting a very O.O.D. roll of Delta3200. Despite the heavy base fog, the film scanned OK. The photographer also insisted on shooting me using 'that old fashioned film camera'. LOL. He was shooting a Canon something or other.

While he posed the girl, I blazed away. Much quicker than him. 😉

With a Rollei in the center of the road, you got guts, as well as a charmed life. Totally fast lane talent. What's around the next bend?

Garry Winogrand first said it: There is nothing as mysterious as a fact clearly described. This illustrates that maxim perfectly. As Rog has pondered - what lies around that bend? And why is the road empty? The clouds look threatening, the landscape veering towards dark and brooding. There is a little that this photograph describes, but so much more that it's not telling us. As with all road trips, this photograph helps us believe that the journey is the destination.

Roy, Phil - thank you.

I’m not as good with words but here goes: Shooting analog for so many years because there was no other real choice. Then digital arrived and dipping my toes in, eventually taking a full dive - speeding up the process and workflow being a major result. Then deciding to, once again, take only analog cameras on a trip, forcing a slow down. A more thoughtful, measured approach. Same as it was becoming nostalgic. And in that scope to create an image that, ultimately, compels two of my favorite photographers here to say such thoughtful and kind words is both greatly appreciated and humbly rewarding.

You are so very, very wrong: you are quite good with words. Bravo on this and all your contributions.

Hi Christoph , thanks for your comment .

Hum   Who needs Kodachrome ?  .... me  Christoph  😃

I love the Kodachrome color like Phil and the Portra 400 or 800 Isos color (or some pictures of CCD sensor M8 or M9) reminds me of Kodachrome sometimes
