AZD Posted February 17 Share #92601 Posted February 17 Advertisement (gone after registration) Keeping with the playground and trees theme, here’s another (non-Leica…) photo, the reflection of a lost world: Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! This was my old elementary school playground after a rain storm. Notes from another picture on the same roll say it was about 8:00pm on April 26, 1995 (a Wednesday, if you were wondering). The view today is unrecognizable. Taken with my un-trusty Zeiss Ikoflex Favorit on Kodak Tri-X 6043 roll film. I remember trying to hold very still for the 1/30 second shutter. In fact I remember almost the entire experience of being there and standing underneath the big playground tree while taking the photo. Crop of a 6.5” square print on Kodak Polymax RC glossy (F surface). A story about the crop: For some reason the film was dirty and needed washing. I set the faucet temperature in the school darkroom and walked away for a few minutes. When I returned the water was very hot and had damaged several frames. This frame has reticulation in the lower right corner. Very nearly tragic, but I prefer this panoramic, reticulation-avoiding crop anyhow.
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! AZD Posted February 19 Share #92617 Posted February 19 And a couple from Rome in 2022. You’ll have to please forgive the scratch on the obelisk at St. Peter’s. There was an unfortunate bulk loading mishap which required turning a hotel closet into a makeshift darkroom while I attempted to spool 36 detached frames into the cassette. Ah, the joys of film. Both are with an M3 and 45mm Chiyoko Rokkor. It’s an interesting little lens (very little, in fact) which occasionally flares with what I call “god rays” from the sky. I actually rather like them. Otherwise it’s quite well behaved and usable at all apertures. Welcome, dear visitor! Popular Post benqui Posted February 19 Popular Post Share #92619 Posted February 19 (edited) For traveling I bought a R zoom 28-90 with an adapter for my M10. I was very happy with the results and I thought why not using this wonderful lens also analog? I found a R8 in a very good condition for a very good price and used it last week for portrait shootings in combination with my M6 TTL. And I have to admit that I really like the results of the R8. I had more „focus failures“ with the R8 in comparison with the M6 TTL, but I think it is just a matter of training.
