There is something so wonderfully and acutely poetic in a woman's awareness of her woman-ness. You are both expressing this so beautifully and the medium of black and white film, with its equally poetic inherent softness, seems perfect to do this.

Almost certainly development issues. Old or exhausted developer or, more likely, fixer would be my guess.

While you are relatively new to it, don't be afraid to mix up fresh chemicals even before you think you'll need them - that way you can cut at least that issue out of the equation as you assess your workflow.

While I agree with what Phil suggests, for my taste the irregularities are a bit too regular to be development-related. Since it´s a Rollei which doesn't have a focal plane shutter as Leica or the average SLR, the TLRs have a between the lens shutter-so that can be excluded. My bet is a scanner fault or the dev. Have a look at the film, it will show you.

Agree with the above. As the stripes seem to be irregular (not parallel), I suggest not scanning. So either development or film. Was your film over the date?

The 10th roll. Rolleiflex 2.8f, delta 400, D/S by lab, the image with clouds show same structure as just discussed.

My best guess would be the scanning. A Pro labs process should be pretty even, but I suspect some of their scanning. If possible, get a friend to do a scan of one or several of those negs, preferably with a dedicated film scanner, or any other means at your disposal, to compare results.

I would think that it might be from the development process. Would be not enough movement or to short developing time. But similar can also happen if you wipe the water off the film with your fingers.
Rollfilm is much more prone for uneven development than 35 mm film.
Once I made a test with stand development, that went well with 35 mm film, so I tried it with the same film as 120 format. No success as you can see here:(

Great set! Love to know the story behind…

Thank you. There's not much to say really, sometimes just being a spectator is reward enough.
