To be honest I can't remember, I used various developers everything was always photographed &  processed according to the instructions. Mostly using Combi Plan tank - that uses 1 litre of solution. I've tried developing in complete darkness Ansel Adams style (that was a failure) As I've been gifted a Jobo CPE2 processor I intend using that in the next few months (once I find the correct reels for it. The neg is held vertically against the lightbox with the M246 at a distance of about 25cm. from it using a Minolta MD 35-70 zoom (has macro setting) with MD to Leica M adaptor + Leica OUFRO 10mm. extension ring. Using aperture priority I expose at about f11 for depth of focus. the results come out a bit soft in contrast, but that's OK as lightroom / Photoshop can correct that. This gives a sharper more detailed file than a flatbed scanner (and I don't have a new scanner anyway - it's a 12 year old Epson) I've tried using a similar method with my D lux 7, and that works quite well but the M246 gives better tonal graduation. This 'jury rig' was only a trial anyway but based on the results I intend to build a permanent rig to make setting up far simpler. Hope this helps Cheers  3

I love your children photos, they are timeless and are really inspiring. I remember trying to reproduce a similar headshot from the back but missing something. This last one is really sweet, a perfect and subtle illustration of child’s curiosity. Exactly the type of images that drew me to the Thambar in the first place.

For me it did not really kick in until my grandchildren arrived. We had them for eight months (now moved on to their new home.) My granddaughter arrived almost exactly two years old. In the ensuing eight months I was able to really enjoy the expansion of her curiosity and will. Magic.

Hope you had a great time and will get to see them again soon. Maybe silly but one of my favourite subject is ‘brushing teeth’. I think I have possibly tenth of shots looking at the same scene and how it evolved as my kids grow. I need to remember to take more! Welcome, dear visitor!
