You're not going to believe this! I know I can't... quite. But look what arrived in the mail just now:

As Doc would say in "Back to the Future": "Great Scott!". Only took 102 days!

Thanks great news, Phil!  Worth the wait!

Damn! I'd have loved to have caught up with you Antonio! I like your trick with bundling up the rolls but... 60 rolls! 😱 Maybe sometime in the future our paths will cross in Seattle or wherever and if so the first round is on me!

Yeah, many I bought too many (over there) and I used only half of them, the rest is in the fridge now. Although, once you wrap them, they're easy to handle If security ask you to open everything, you're screwed! But I doubt they can ask to open boxed film.

I’m hoping to tap into the expertise here, I recently bought a bulk film loader full of film, it had been opened and the first couple of feet were ruined but after that while the edge is fogged the image area is clear. Does anyone recognize these edge markings? They are all I have been able to find on the first 4 feet of film.

It depends on what type of bulk loader do you have. Check that you close film canister compartment door, maybe even press it when you loading film

It’s an Alden 74, the attached photo shows why the film was exposed to light. I saw this image on a popular social media site where people were making fun of the seller for ruining the film. I pointed out that the film was still tightly wound and so likely useable. After a short discussion I decided to put my money where my mouth was and buy it.

As it turns out, I was right, however I have no idea what the film is. If I can’t find out I’ll just shoot a test roll to identify the speed.

Maybe the post officer also reads the forum? 😉

Aside from being a great photo, one that keeps you occupied for quite a while, my wife gave this the ultimate compliment: "Yeah! that would make a truly great puzzle."

Thanks,

Wayne
