Developing at 30C is something I’m very interested in doing myself, hoping for the best grain. Can you talk a bit abut your experience please. TMax 100 has very graduated tonal transitions and fine grain when processed conventionally (I often process it at 21 deg 1:31 HC-110) Processing it at 30deg (7mins) was an experiment to see what would happen. As expected, the tonal range is much more crushed than in normal processing but still holds good shadow detail and the grain is far more obvious. Printed or pp'd hard, it resembles prints from lith film. 2

I'm getting ready for Holga week: https://holgaweek.com/ A few minutes later, I ran into a guy carrying a beautiful Hassy C/M. We had a great chat, and I hope I convinced him to get out his Holga, too, and participate! Mamiya is in need of service, and I anticipate losing it for a couple of months. Gary knows I'm thinking of a Hassy in the meantime, but I also have the Jones for a Rollei SL 66. What a cool camera that is!

Hasselblad 205; Distagon 3,5/30; Ektar 100, red filter I love this version and think it is much better than the intended version. The dreamy atmosphere you created here by mistake is truly wonderful! If you should suffer ( or enjoy ? quote: never resist a temptation, who knows if it will ring a second time... ) an attack to buy it: make sure the little filters come with it. At least the UV-filter, its part of the optical calculation. Thinking about it: I enjoy all the lenses sitting on my shelf, even the rarely used. I just love the sheer perfection of the stuff. And since I'm an amateur: no need to justify the cost ... 😁 What a dramatic scene you got from this unusual lens! The blue/red contrasts are adding much to this picture. 4 hours ago, Nachtmsk said: Herald Square NYC 1987 Tri-X M4p At the time I was on assignment waiting for Mikhail Gorbachev. Actually I like the "red" tree better than the green one--the latter being a bit middle of the road. But taking convincing photos of trees --seems to be a never ending struggle for me. So the filter fail came as an accident with an unexpected, but welcome result. Perhaps I should be a bit more playful more often. 3

I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the medium format cameras, but we probably all want to scratch that Hasselblad itch at some time. Pentax 67s, Mamiyas, Bronicas, Fujis… The SL66 does look an intriguing camera, too, with its bellows and I think it also has a restricted shift and tilt mechanism so that would be fun. You’re doing great work with the Holga, which is also my wife’s favourite. Although now the Polaroid SX-70 seems to be getting more attention…

We all do: I’m taking 9 every day, supplemented by a further tablet once a week. I’m being treated for two separate conditions, one of which degrades my immune system, which ain’t good when we’re in a pandemic. Looks are sometimes deceiving, but you could be taking one or two more than me. Good luck with it!
