John Robinson Posted January 13, 2021 Share #73789 Posted January 13, 2021 Another from the not-so-dusty negative file. Walls of Fremantle Gaol in 1979 before it was converted to a museum. Not taken with a Leica but processed with a Leica (notes below). Some Western Australian history here: the walls were built by convicts from limestone quarried on the site and then they were locked inside. Welcome, dear visitor! Pan F photographed with a Leica SL through a Micro-Nikkor 3.5/55 mounted on a BEOON, converted to positive with VueScan and post-processed in Capture One. Excellent workflow for B/W negs, can photograph a strip of six in the time it takes the film scanner to do one frame. Colour negs much more complicated to convert.
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Schlepping the Hasselblad backpack takes its toll... Pointillism in fact was what caught my eye, but I had no idea how to get the scintillation onto the emulsion. Next autumn I´ll remember your brilliant idea and play a little bit--- perhaps I´ll try to imitate Gerhards squeegee by motion, or/and get some pointillism-effect by double or triple exposure.
