I am happy that you like my photo from Palermo. The Portra400 is really such an amazing film, it is my film number 1 What a beautiful and esthetic photo. Lights, shadows, perfect. I have never heard from a Cambo TLR. Which camera is it? Read here: https://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?112184-Cambo-TWR-54-4x5-Twin-Lens-Reflex-(like-Gowlandflex)-Question I had one for ten years and used it for anything that moved. I passed it on to a friend who still has it going. Using 2 Graflex Rapid film holders you can reload faster than the the flash generators. Need 13 liter tanks to develop two boxes of triX. But It was great for 4x5 Polaroid. Parallax no problem with people.

Popular Post crf59 Posted December 22, 2020 Popular Post Share #73287 Posted December 22, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) My mother and father lived in England, Spain, Germany and France in the 50s and they toured around quite a bit. This is a picture of my mother in one of my father's cars around 1957-58 I think. I'm a car nut but don't know what this car is. I think it's a Hillman Minx convertible. He also owned a couple of MG TDs - one of which I owned up until 1987 when it was wrecked by my father. What catches me about it is the very smooth, lustrous paint and the rich upholstery. (I'm exploring the options available at present!) Thanks Charles. Yes, the Fujinon SWD 90mm is by far my most used lens of the three I have . There were four lenses available, the fourth one being the 105mm which is not a very useful aov if you have the 90. The 180mm rarely does the format justice, although I do use it when the situation demands a narrow(er) fov. My least used lens is the T300, it’s a true telephoto and produces a very compressed perspective on 6x17. Generally, the format is best suited to the lenses in the 72mm- 90mm range I’ve had this camera and lenses for well over 25 years, it goes back to the time when I supplied calendar publishers with landscape images. if you can find one in good useable condition, buy it. Make sure you have the original 1-stop centre nd with the 90mm as you won’t find one otherwise. Also check the detachable viewfinder very carefully for damage, they can sometimes suffer from internal mould due to landscapers like me being out in all weathers!

The Rolleiflex image is from ebay, it's what I ended up buying recently. I'm hoping to receive it this afternoon. It's been many years since I had one in my hands and I'm looking forward to having this camera again. But I was pretty much determined to stay with 35mm once I got my M3, it seemed the best direction for me. That us, until I saw this second image of Italy. I don't remember who's it is, I found it on this forum in the past couple of weeks and downloaded it - if you recognize it please remind me who ! Not only do I want to thank you again for such a great image but it's ALL YOUR DARN FAULT that I bought my Rolleiflex. After seeing your 6x6 image I was sunk, your Portra image said without words "why 6x6". Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Seeing this image reminded me that I have one of these lurking in the cupboard: a 2.8C dating from around 1958. It does not have a lightmeter, has the Schneider-Kreuznach Xenotar 2.8/80 and is still capable of producing superb results. Strange that Leica was never interested in medium-format so I have to report that no Leica was involved in the creation of this image. Compared with lugging around a Hasselblad, the Rollei is a very portable option. Location speaks for itself I hope.
