Mr.Prime Posted December 21, 2020 Share #73261 Posted December 21, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm always humbled when I come to see what's posted in this thread - and here are two images neither of them are mine, but let me explain. The Rolleiflex image is from ebay, it's what I ended up buying recently. I'm hoping to receive it this afternoon. It's been many years since I had one in my hands and I'm looking forward to having this camera again. But I was pretty much determined to stay with 35mm once I got my M3, it seemed the best direction for me. That us, until I saw this second image of Italy. I don't remember who's it is, I found it on this forum in the past couple of weeks and downloaded it - if you recognize it please remind me who ! Not only do I want to thank you again for such a great image but it's ALL YOUR DARN FAULT that I bought my Rolleiflex. After seeing your 6x6 image I was sunk, your Portra image said without words "why 6x6". Welcome, dear visitor! It can help with the dust a bit, though in my experience from wet mounting on a special tray in my Coolscan 9000 it doesn't help that much with dust (if I turn off digital ICE that is). 6 hours ago, downstairs said: CamboTLR with 4x5 TriX. I think the Baby models look cute though In my case it was easy to choose since I was replacing one I used to have, so I just went in search of the same model and lens type, seeking something that looked clean from photos and description. If I were buying for the first time then budget may limit my choice more than it did this time but I don’t think that you can go wrong with any of the different models if it’s in good shape. I also tend to feel more comfortable buying from Japan, my last one was bought locally and there was definitely some bait and switch going on regarding the cleanliness of the focus screen. Don’t get me looking for one of the baby models ! Edited December 21, 2020 by Mr.Prime

The lens is a 75/4.5 Triotar..........Not a Tessar. Thanks for the compliment. The old Rolleicord fits nicely in a winter coat pocket, and with Rolleikin, gives 36 35mm frames. It is a blast. I love the Triotar triplet.
