I'm loving your reportage on the Williamsburg happenings - these guys with their magnifying glass and so forth really take it seriously! 1 hour ago, david strachan said: Lovely Phil...well caught Super to see the anchors still there...no vandalism. Nice pic. All best Thanks so much David, I really appreciate that. It's a long dirt road and then 333 steep steps (which of course are still there and even steeper when you have to go back up) plus a kilometer along the beach (or three, if you first happen to turn the wrong way at the bottom of the steps 😫) so, as a park ranger in the USA once said to me, you tend not to get the bottom feeders going there. All the best to you as well. 2

philipus Posted October 20, 2019 Share #64192 Posted October 20, 2019 Excellent results for an expired film. Is it Extra Film or Extrafilm? If the latter, then it may be the one that was given gratis when used Extrafilms's mail-in development service. I realise chances are slim but thought I'd mention it. For me, it was the sweet spot in terms of light and color 😍 And I think the panorama format is a perfect match 😍 Ektar 617 Really nice Phil, and the fact that the pier is so well defined against such an extreme highlight is a testament to the fidelity of film. Digital would just have died right there. On 10/18/2019 at 10:21 AM, stray cat said: For three nights last week I took the bike and headed down the west coast of our state along what is known as the Great Ocean Road. Celebrating its 100th birthday this year, the road was largely carved from sheer rock cliffs by servicemen recently returned from World War 1. It is the most wonderful road to ride if you are lucky enough to have light traffic and clear weather. I was half lucky - the weather was changeable, with quite a few patches of drizzle but, perhaps because of this, traffic was unusually light and I was able to enjoy many stretches of no other traffic at all, especially on the many lovely curving sweeps of road between the towns of Airey's Inlet and Apollo Bay. I'm just scanning some of my pictures from the trip - I loaded my trusty M6TTL along with 50mm, 28mm and 135mm lenses, plus a couple of rolls each of Velvia 50 and Ektachrome 100. I also took along my newest purchase, a Nikonos V with a 35mm lens, but unfortunately that was malfunctioning so it got sent back to Japan today. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the occasional photo I'll post from the odyssey: Morning, Apollo Bay 2019 Elmarit-M 135mm, Velvia 50 Very nice Dirk. I like this muted palette too (though I'm pretty sure there is a lot of colour information left to be explored in that scan, should you wish to do that).
