farnz Posted January 12, 2018 Share #45607 Posted January 12, 2018 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) It was great to meet up with Adam while he was briefly in London. We had a nice couple of pints, a very pleasant chat, and met a film and tv star, Christopher Fairbanks (British members will remember him as the character Moxey from the very popular 1980's tv series "Auf Wiedersehen, Pet"). It would have been nice to go out shooting but it wasn't really the night for it. Maybe next time. Pete. Edited January 12, 2018 by farnz
A miller Posted January 12, 2018 Share #45608 Posted January 12, 2018 Thanks, Christoph. It's that time of the year again Adam,Very cool. The force of the storm well captured!RgdsC. Thanks, Phil. I forgot to provide an update regarding my film situation. The roll that was stuck in my camera came back in perfect condition except suffered from a F$$king LIGHT LEAK Surely the fault of either the lab owner who thought he could be superman or the technician. My guess is that it was the lab owner b/c when he returned from his darkroom and told me he opened it but couldn't get it out he began to act very odd towards me; a little too patronizing if you know what I mean. In any case, I really didn't lose any keepers out of it. It shows up on a couple but actually adds an acceptable dimension I don't believe this photo is from the second roll but rather was from my first roll. Any way you look at it this is an amazing picture. That Ektar diet seems to be agreeing with you! Was this from the roll of Portra rescued from your camera? Thanks, Henry! Superb Adam amazing picture Thanks, Suede. Yes I used a flash. It's a very dramatic photo, Adam. Flash ? ...or was it light from an auto that chanced by ? 28mm ? Wow, what a scene!! Very old school! Great colors, though! Agfa Vista 400 Meat seller, Phetchaburi, Thailand Meat seller.jpg Lovely, Keith!! Under a leaden winter's sky:- 1) The stones guarding the entrance to the Neolithic long barrow (burial chamber) at West Kennet, with Silbury Hill in the distance. 2) Silbury Hill. Both with Hasselblad 500C, 80mm Planar & Tri-X. I love this one. Congrats!!! I had a great time (although I really wish you hadn't (i) pulled out your gorgeous M3/50 RIGID combo and (ii) then nonchalantly told me how much you paid for it!! ) and hopefully will be able to meet up with you again. And thanks for plugging the name of the British actor that we met. My film has just a minute ago been delivered and I will be sharing our moment together with him soon - now I have a point of reference!

It's a gorgeous place but if you don't take and liberally use military grade insect repellant the sandflies (small, stinging black fly) will eat you alive all year round.
